Try to give something in the path of Allah every night of Ramadhan. You never know it might be the Night of Qadr. Do not restrict it to only the 27th of Ramadhan as you may be depriving yourself from immense rewards.

Abdullah ibn Masood (RA) said, Laylatul qadr can be in any night of Ramadhan from night 1 to night 30.1

If you spend one pound and it is Laylatul qadr then you will get the reward of 83 years and 4 months continuously.2 Therefore, if you give, then it is likely you will get the reward because one of the nights would be Laylatul qadr.3

Imam Tirmidhi (RA) reports that the best sadaqah is the one that is given in Ramadhan.4

Abdullah ibn Abbas (RA) reports that Rasulullah was more generous in Ramadhan than the flowing wind.5

Abu Hurayrah (RA) reports a hadith qudsi6 that Rasulullah (SAW) said that Allah (SWT) said, ‘Spend, O Son of Adam! And I will spend upon you.’
